Elder is earned, when you donate 200 or more troops.

You may lose your elder status if you are abusive, fail to donate 200 or more troops in each season league (about every 14 days), or fail to keep your donation ratios under 1:3.

No Elder may kick any member, unless that member is abusive and no leader or co leader is present.
